Throughout the mid-19th century the limber was a fundamental piece of the field artillery battery. It was the piece which connected the horses to cannons and other vehicles to move them with the army. The limber also carried an ammunition chest for the cannon to ensure that wherever the cannon ended up, there would be ammunition available to use it.
This incredibly detailed model was painstakingly created from the original Ordnance Department prints. It is built part by part as the original pieces were, with as much detail as possible being retained through the process of optimizing for FDM printing. The model is full scale, allowing you to apply whatever scaling factor you want to achieve your desired size. It prints very comfortably on my Bambu Lab P1S at 1:6 scale (16.67%) with default settings and a .4mm nozzle.
The Ammunition Chest model is included with the field limber model. Cannon model shown in pictures is NOT included.
This product listing is for the STL files to print your own model with your own 3D printer.
